British Council A colloquium was held in IIM Ahmedabad, India on 28-29th October 2009 to launch A New International Social Justice Network of senior policy makers and opinion formers from India, Brazil, China, South Africa, Mexico and the UK. The colloquium was organized by the British Council in partnership with the IIM Ahmedabad, India’s premier business school and the Indian Council for Social Science Research. The colloquium’s focus was primarily on two themes: firstly, improving livelihoods and secondly, access to good quality universal primary and secondary education and healthcare.

They aim at de-addicting the villagers from substance abuse which arise from excessive alcohol consumption by the villagers.
